About The ASL Extension

Accessibility Built Around People

Built through relationships and connection.

The ASL Extension is a community-led accessibility company built on relationships, collaboration, and a deep connection to the communities we serve. This brings together Deaf professionals, interpreters, organizations, and accessibility partners to create access that works for everyone.

No Single Solution Fits Everyone

Accessibility isn’t one-size-fits-all. Every community, organization, event, and environment comes with different people, needs, and considerations.

That’s why we start by listening. Our goal is simple: help create meaningful accessibility experiences through ASL interpreting, accessibility consulting, coordination services, community resources, and trusted guidance wherever it’s needed.

We build each approach around the people who will actually use it, because every step toward better accessibility makes a difference.

From education, healthcare, and government to community events, international settings, and live entertainment, every space has different accessibility needs. Our approach stays the same: listen first, work together, and build access around the people who use it.

We believe accessibility creates opportunities for people to participate, connect, contribute, and feel like they belong. The ASL Extension exists to support the people, organizations, and communities working to make that possible.

More Than An Interpreting Provider

Every request is different because every audience, organization, and community is different. We take the time to understand the people, the setting, and the accessibility needs before determining the best path forward.

Whether we’re coordinating a single interpreter, building a team for a multi-day festival, consulting on accessibility planning, or supporting another agency behind the scenes, we stay involved with thoughtful preparation, communication, and collaboration.

The ASL Extension wasn't created to become the biggest interpreting provider.
It was created to support access that works - and help fill the gaps where it doesn't.

A Different Approach

We believe accessibility works best when organizations, providers, interpreters, and communities work together. Sometimes that means leading the work. Sometimes it means strengthening what’s already in place, filling a gap, or connecting people with someone better suited to the need.

The goal isn’t to own the access. It’s to make sure the access works.

Partnership & Coordination Services

Accessibility is a team effort, and many organizations already have trusted interpreters, providers, and systems in place. We’re not here to replace what already works.

For agencies and organizations looking to expand their capabilities, we provide behind-the-scenes partnership and coordination services that fill the gaps where support is needed. From concerts, festivals, and theater to conferences, screenings, and special events, we can coordinate on your behalf while your organization remains the primary point of contact for your client.

Rooted In Community

Community

By and for the people we serve.

Unity

Better access, together.

Network

Partnerships make us stronger.

Trust

Clear, honest, dependable.

We believe accessibility should be created with the communities it serves, not simply for them. By listening first, communicating openly, and working together with Deaf community members, interpreters, clients, and other stakeholders, we build accessibility solutions that feel thoughtful, practical, and meaningful.

Let's Build Something Better

Whether you know exactly what you need or you’re still figuring it out, we’re here to help. Tell us what you’re working on, where the gaps are, or what better access could look like — and we’ll start there.
